Tutti Frutti Buns

·        Plain flour-2cups
·        Dry Yeast-1 tsp.
·        Tutti fruity-1/4 cup
·        Lemon colour-2 drops
·        Powder sugar-1/2 cup
·        Salt-1 tsp.
·        Hot water-200 ml.
·        White oil -2 tbsp.

·        In a bowl take hot water, put dry yeast in it. After covering keep aside for 15 mints.
·        Then add oil and colour. Mix it.
·        In another bowl mix flour, tutti-fruity, sugar and salt together.

·        Add yeast mixture water into the flour mixture and make soft dough.

·        Dividing dough into small equal balls and covers these with cling film.

·        Keep it in warm place for at least 1 hour.(I use to keep in micro oven)
·        Place these small balls over oven tava by slightly pressing them as in picture.  
·        Preheat the oven at 190 degree C and bake for 20 mints. Let it be cool.

·        Serve with hot tea.

Chicken Fried Rice

            Hi friends….Today I am sharing my special restaurant style chicken fried rice, which I make frequently at home and also on get together. Each time I got lots of positive admiration and this inspired me to share this one with my blog followers and friends.
               In this recipe I used Worcestershire sauce which brings exact and accurate smell like restaurant make. Many time I used to do fried rice at home though many time it does not contains the smoky smell ,finally I discover  adding  Worcestershire sauce brings the professional smell as per my knowledge, let me know if I am wrong and waiting for your comments and complements. 

            Preparation Time - 15- 20 mins
            Cooking Time - 30 mins
            Serves 3

For chicken paste:
·        Boneless Chicken -8 nos.
·        Worcestershire Sauce-1 tsp.
·        Garlic-2-3 cloves
·        Green chili-2 nos.

Basic ingredients:
·        Basmati Rice-3 cups
·        Carrot chopped into cube-1/2 cup
·        Bean small chopped-1 tbsp.
·        Capsicum chopped into cube-1/2 cup.
·        Spring onion (green portion) chopped finely-1 tbsp.
·        [If use white portion of it then fry it with onion.]
·        Onion slice-1 no.
·        Chopped garlic-1 ½ tbsp..
·        Grated ginger-1 tsp.
·        Salt-to taste
·        Sugar-1 tsp.
·        White oil or olive oil- 3 tbsp. [I used olive oil]
·        Water -5 cups
·        Green cardamom- 2 nos.
·        Asafoetida-1 pinch
·        Dry parsley- ¼ tsp.
·        Roasted Garam masala -1/4 tsp.
·        (roast green cardamom, clove, cinnamon and then make powder)
·        Black pepper -1/2 tsp.

·        Paste chicken, garlic, and green chili and Worcestershire sauce together.

·        Wash the rice and strain the water.

·        In a heavy bottom pan put oil. When oil is hot put onion and white portion of spring onion fry it until golden brown. Remove from heat and keep aside.

·        Into the remaining hot oil put asafoetida and whole cardamom. Add garlic and ginger, mix 2-3 seconds then put chicken paste mix it well.
·        When it was fried, add all chopped vegetables except spring onion and dry parsley. Mix it for 10 seconds.
·        Add strained rice and black pepper. Mix for one mint.
·        Pour 5 cups water, salt and sugar. When it began to boil, cover it and cook for 10 minutes.
·        Open the lid, Spread spring onion (green portion), Garam masala and fried onion. Off the gas and give it for standing time.
·        It's ready, serve hot with any chicken or Paneer recipe.

Black Forest Cake

             I am really passionate about making cakes and now I just make cake without any reason or occasion .But this time it’s my sister’s birthday who visited my place after her semester and I was really wanted to make a cake of her choice. This time she ask to make her favourite “Black Forest Cake” .Though I had made the same some time back and the result at that time was below satisfactory but this I was determine to make a cake with perfect sponginess, perfect in taste and perfect in decoration and I was very happy that this time it was The Perfect one. She was really happy and it was wonderful time that day.
             Few days back I made a chocolate cake and I used chocolate instead of cocoa powder, it was also too good and soft. I think it is the reason behind the success of the Black forest one, so presenting and sharing my experience of making “Black Forest Cake” with all of you and don’t forget to comment.    


   For making basic sponge cake:
·        All-purpose flour – 1 cup.
·        Cocoa powder – 1 ½ tsp.
·        Baking powder – 1 tsp.
·        Baking soda- 1 tsp.
·        White Oil - 1/2 cup.
·        Egg – 6 nos.
·        Powder sugar – 1 cup.
·        Hot milk – ½ cup.
·        Vanilla essence – 1 ½ tsp.
 For Frosting:
·        Whipped Cream(after beat in stiff peak) – 1 medium bowl
(Before beating I had taken 7 – 8 tbsp. of whipped cream)
·        Icing sugar – 1 tbsp.(heaped).
·        Vanilla essence – 2 drops.
·        Cherries (for garnishing) – as required.
·        Grated chocolate – 1 ½ cup.
·        Strawberry syrup – 2 tsp.
·        Fresh cherry (for garnishing) – as required.

   For making basic sponge cake:
·        Separate the egg white and yolk keep these into clean different bowl.
·        Sieve together flour, baking powder ,baking  soda ,cocoa powder together and keep it in an another dry bowl.
·        Beat the egg white for 5 minutes or until it became soft peak.
·        Then add powder sugar and ½ tsp. vanilla essence in it and beat again till it become fluffy.
·        Now beat the egg yolk until it became frothy and light and now add rest vanilla essence and oil in it and beat 5 mints. Next add hot milk into it and beat for another 1-2 minutes in high speed.
·        Add the sieved dry ingredients in it and again fold it.
·        Next add the egg white mix into the yolk – flour mixture with spatula and mix well.
·        Grease the 8” ring cake mould and pour the batter into it.
·        Pre- heat the oven in 180 degree Celsius and bake for 1 hour.
·        Check for doneness by inserting a tooth peak, if it comes out clean, it is ready.    
·        Pull out from oven and let it be cool.
  For frosting:
·        Beat whipped cream using an electric beater or by hand for 5 mints in high speed or until it became stiff peak. Don’t beat much otherwise it will become butter.
·        Then add icing sugar and vanilla essence or as you like in it and beat more 2 mints.
  For garnishing the cake:
·        When the cake becomes cooled cut the cake horizontally into two using a sharp big cake cutter or knife.

·        Put 2 part s in two separate butter paper.
·        Spread 1 tbsp. of strawberry syrup into each of the divided portion of the cake placed.
·        Make a whipped cream sandwich using two parts of the cake also spread the upper surface of the upper cake and circular side of the whole cake.
·        Spread again grated dark chocolate all over the cake and decorate the cake with the rest whipped cream using a nozzle as you wish.

·        Finally garnish with fresh cherry over the decorated cake.
·        It’s ready for the party…..

Niramis Channar Kalia(Vegetarian Fried Channa Curry)

                  Today I am posting a well-known  Bengali recipe "Niramis channar kalia(Vegetarian Fried Paneer Curry)" .It is the recipe I make frequently at my home on most of  Thursdays .Actually it’s a Veg-Day for  all in my family .I really try to make it 100% vegetable as I don’t use onion and garlic.It is also a recipe which you will able to prepared in very less time.
                 Last Thursday a situation was happened when someone from my childhood friends visit our home suddenly and I was very excited as it was a meeting after a long time. It’s reminds me a number of sweet childhood memories and school days. She stayed overnight and it was absolutely amazing time.   
              Whatever I made for her like Kacuris, Chana Dal along with this Niramis Channar Kalia all are pure veg that day as it was Thursday . I am sharing my with all my followers and friends and hope all will like this one and is perfect for a Veg Day.Please try this simple and easy recipe and I will eagerly wait for your valuable suggestions and feedback. Channa is easily available in sweet shops and also in market so just bring it or make it yourself in the home and try the recipe as it is very easy and simple to cook.


For making Paneer or Channa balls:
·        Channa/Paneer mashed -500 grams
·        Flour-2 tbsp.
·        Salt -1/4 tsp.
·        Sugar -1 tsp.
·        Baking soda -1/4 tsp.
·        Roasted cumin seed powder -1/2 tsp.
·        Asafoetida -1 pinch
·        Green cardamom powder (Roasted) -1/2  tsp.
·        White oil –For frying

For making gravy:
·        White oil- 1 ½ tbsp.
·        Asafoetida -1 pinch
·        Bay leaf -1 no.
·        White cumin seed (sa-jira) -1/2 tsp.
·        Tomato [Big]-2 nos.
·        Green chili -2 nos.
·        Yogurt -1 ½tbsp.
·        Ginger paste-1 tsp.[Heaped]
·        Turmeric powder -1/4 tsp.
·        Kashmiri red Chili powder-1 tsp.
·        Salt –To taste
·        Sugar -1 ½ tsp.
·        Dry fenugreek leaves powder -1/4 tsp.
·        Hot water-1 ½ cups.
·        Ghee-1/4 tsp.
·        Roasted cumin powder -1/4 tsp.
·        Homemade Garam masala powder -1/2 tsp.

to make Homemade Garam Masala--
[Roast 4 cardamoms, 4 cloves and ½ inch cinnamon together and make powder. It is not necessary to make fine powder. I always suggest using homemade Garam masala in case of Paneer or Channa. It gives a beautiful and nice aroma.]


For preparing Paneer or Channa balls:
·        In a big mixing bowl Take all mentioned ingredients and mix very well. Make small equal balls and fry in medium hot oil till it done golden brown.
·        Remove from heat and keep aside.

For making gravy:
·        Paste tomato and chili together.
·        Take a deep bottom pan. Heat oil. When hot, put asafoetida, bay leaf and white cumin seed. When it being to crackle, pour tomato paste, salt and sugar. Cook for 1 mint .The raw flavor of tomato gone.
·        Then add beaten yogurt, ginger paste, turmeric, red chili powder and dry fenugreek leaf powder together, mix and cook for 2-3 mints. The oil will float on it and colour also will be radish.
·        Then pour hot water. When it is boiling, put prepared Paneer balls in it and covering it cook for 7-10 mints with low flame.
·        When the gravy will be thicken and oil will be come out on top, off the gas and spread ghee, Garam masala powder and roasted cumin powder and cover it for 2-3 mints.
·        Then pour it into a serving plate. It’s ready to serve with Indian bread or rice as you wish.
